This Really is an Absolutely Beautiful Antique - Victorian English Sheffield Silverplate 2 Piece Serving Set. Most likely Intended for Salads - Vegetables - Berries Etc. Circa Late 19th Century. The Handles are Completely Hand Made - Hand Carved out of Genuine Solid Mother of Pearl. The Spoon Bowls are done in a Boldly Embossed - High Relief - Hand Chased & Engraved Scottish Thistle Design with Outstanding Attention to Detail in the Features. They are Signed by the Maker " J. B. & S " - Possibly Jonathan Bell & Son ?. The Set is in Excellent Condition and Displays Beautifully. It Appears to have Seen Very Little Use Over the Years. The Set Also Comes with its Original Velvet & Satin Lined & Fitted Presentation - Storage Case. NOTE That the Case is Broken - Has a Missing Wood Panel on the Right Lower Side - This Can Best be Seen in the Last 2 Photographs in the Listing.
