Description: Higgins Studio Glass Platter in the Radiant Atomic Sunset pattern that is in excellent condition and measures 6 1/2”H x … more Higgins Studio Glass Platter in the Radiant Atomic Sunset pattern that is in excellent condition and measures 6 1/2”H x 10”W. These pieces were labor intensive for Michael Higgins and his wife Frances. They made the design using colored enamels pieced with glass segments. Then they would fuse the colored glass with two pieces of plain glass in a glass “sandwich” finally the piece is placed on the mold and heated which will slump the glass to the mold. You could use this on a plate holder in back of purple and orange genie bottles or as a mod dish to unload your pockets at the door, or for jewelry on a dresser. Such an iconic piece will go a long way in your decor.
