Description: The stoneware vessel features a bulbous shape, perforated and floral banded upper rim, body decorated with an impressed floral and foliate motif on a textured ground, in tones of white/turquoise/metallic copper on a caramel ground. On the base, incised with series number, manufacturer's marks and signed with the artists' monogram impressed marks.
Measures: 8 D x 7.25 H inches.

About the maker: Royal Doulton is an English ceramic and home accessories manufacturer that was founded in 1815. Operating originally in Vauxhall, London, and later moving to Lambeth, in 1882 it opened a factory in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, in the centre of English pottery.
Maker's marks: 'Doulton Lambeth' standard impressed mark from c. 1880-1902, from 1891 'England' was added below. 'Doulton & Slater's Patent' used on special bodies from c. 1881 and into the 20th century. less
