This Mark Rothko very rare vintage 1975 Pace Editions Modernist lithograph print iconic custom framed large Abstract Expressionist museum poster " Orange and Yellow " 1956, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Modernist poster print is published by The Albright-Knox Art Gallery Buffalo, New York. Printed in The United States in 1975 in an unnumbered limited edition by the renowned fine art printer Pace Editions Inc.. It features an iconic Abstract Expressionist artwork image originally created by Rothko in 1956 titled " Orange and Yellow ", gift Seymour H. Knox, copyright Pace Editions Inc., 1975.

Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1970 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally defined as an Abstract Expressionist. His bold use of color fields make the artworks impressively iconic and highly individual. Rothko is considered to be one of the most important and influential American painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print framed Abstract Expressionist large format museum poster print measures 29 1/8" W X 38 5/8" H X 1 1/2" D.
It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern satin finish bleached white oak wood museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age, very light signs of handling, and very light minor wear in the lower bottom margin area.
