The inset brass detail frames two crescent areas where the shell is an iridescent plum/brown color.
The rest of the frame has a pretty iridescence in light greens and pinks. The color is more silvery and muted in the photos, but has a nice iridescent optical effect in person.
Very nice vintage condition. There are a few small amber areas on the surface that appear to be the way the lacquer aged (pic 12).
The back cover has a ribbon to pull to access photo area.
