The lithograph print poster is known as Rauschenberg's first poster design in a larger body of poster work that continued to span for many decades. Created in an unnumbered limited edition for the opening of The Jewish Museum in New York in 1963, printed by Universal Limited Art Publishers in New York, who Rauschenberg continued to work with on many subsequent posters publishing. This is a rare opportunity for true Rauschenberg fans and collectors as this poster is long out of print and very scarce to find.

Robert Rauschenberg ( 1925 - 2008 ) is recognized as one of The 20th Century's most influential and prolific artists. he is credited with binding the gap between the movements of Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art. A pioneer of the " Transfer Drawing " process, he experimented in technologically sophisticated combinations of photographs and drawings. he is highly regarded as a Modern master of mixed media and collage. The works are layered and transcend the two dimensional format for the viewer. Art works by Rauschenberg are included in the permanent collections of more than 70 of the worlds most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print collector's lithograph print poster measures 22" W X 32" H. It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed.
