This ink box was fine crafted by hand by a skilled craftsman who made the chrysanthemum flowers in the clouds design that covers the whole piece with great detail. All the details are made from bent copper and brass wires that form this design over a copper vessel filled in with hot glass enamel in a layered cloisonne technique. This Chinese ochre red cloisonne round ink box measures 4 1/4" in diameter by 2 1/4" tall and it is in "Pristine Condition" with no chips to the enamel, no cracks, no repairs, and very little wear to the ink box for the age of it.
