Description: Offered is a pair of mid 20th Century, circa. 1950s to early 1960s carved and lathed Teak wood plates made … more Offered is a pair of mid 20th Century, circa. 1950s to early 1960s carved and lathed Teak wood plates made in Japan. There are no maker's mark or stickers adhered, however, they resemble the work of Shigemichi Aomine who designed for the National Crafts Council of Japan, as well as the wares of Otagiri Mercantile.

While these have been thoroughly cleaned and food-safe oil has been applied to nourish and preserve the wood, would suggest using the plates as decorative catch-alls for displaying objects on a table, credenza, or console.

The round plates each measure 10" in diameter, 0.75" in height.
