Fabulous Signed Black and White Porcelain Vase with 24K Gilding, dating to the 1980’s.
Art Deco Revival celestial design. Reminiscent of Fornesetti. Made by reknowned Hungarian artist Endre Szasz.
Measuring 3.5” dia x 8”h.
Excellent vintage condition.
Ended Laszlo Szasz (1926- 2003) was a very accomplished painter, illustrator and ceramacist. Throughout his life, he had exhibitions all over the world including Madrid, Copenhagen, Brussels, Rome, Oslo, Mexico City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Budapest, Johannesburg, Amman and Tokyo. A friend and colleague of Dali, he returned to Budapest in 1982, after living in Toronto and Los Angeles. It is here he founded the porcelain company Hollohaza. This beautiful vase was fabricated there. Szasz is known as a surrealist folk artist.
