- Beautiful charming vintage framed Oshie art of a young boy, most likely of aristocratic background, with a touch of landscape/nature … more Beautiful charming vintage framed Oshie art of a young boy, most likely of aristocratic background, with a touch of landscape/nature in the background Oshie, which literally translates to "pressed picture," is an old Japanese craft of layering fabric with fillings onto a cardboard. This is one of the nicest Oshie pieces I've ever encountered as it's a very literal and realistic depiction of the subject without being overly stylized. The fabrics used in this Oshie are velvet and silk and the wooden frame has a lacquered gold finish. A rare and special piece! less
