The original painting is titled Torquato Tasso legge la Gerusalemme Liberata ad Eleonora d'Este by the Italian artist Domenico Morelli (1826-1901). We believe this to be a late 19th or early 20th century copy and it is signed with a pretty, but illegible signature, in the lower right.

Condition: Has signs of restoration including a repaired tear visible on the front and back. General antique age wear.
