Paul Klee ( 1879 - 1940 ) The Swiss born Modernist artist is attributed to creating some of the most original and colorful paintings of The Twentieth Century. Klee was an educator at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany. His work reflects the ideas of Symbolism, Expressionism, Cubism, as well the simplicity of The Bauhaus designs. Artworks by Klee are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

This beautiful intimate scale book traces the course of Klee's artistic career in 91 full-color lithograph print reproductions. The rare out of print 1st edition small format Modernist art book measures 6 1/4" W X 7" H X 3/4" D, with 134 pages. It features 91 lithograph print color plates, list of plates, and an artist chronology.

It is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and very light minor wear to the dust jacket.
