Lovely smaller painting done in an abstract colorblock manner depicting a flowering cherry tree in full spring bloom. Main colors are deep pink, green, rich blue and white. Painting is on canvas, and most likely in acrylic paints. A few small stray marks on work consistent with its age.
We love the contrast created between the modern minimalist quality of the work and its traditional French style frame that has a shabby chic quality.
If you should chose to re-frame this piece in another frame, that is easily accomplished. The work itself will fit any frame with a standard 8 x 10 opening.
