This " Vivienne Westwood : Curated by Terry Jones " rare first edition Punk Rock fashion extra large collector's hardcover photography book is an incredibly special and unique book to add to your library collection.
The hardcover book with laminated covered boards and hot pink linen covered outer binding is published in 2012 by Taschen GMBH Koln, Germany. Editor in chief and art director Terry Jones.
Dame Vivienne Isabel Westwood ( 1941 - 2022 ) was an English fashion designer and business woman, largely responsible for bringing Modern Punk and New Wave fashions into the mainstream. Westwood came to public notice when she made clothes for the boutique that she and Malcom McLaren ran on King's Road, which became known as Sex. Their ability to synthesize clothing and music shaped the 1970's Punk scene, which included McLaren's band, The Sex Pistols. She viewed Punk as a way of " Seeing of one could put a spoke in the system ".
Westwood opened four shops in London and eventually expanded throughout Britain an the world, selling a varied range of merchandise, some of which promoted her political causes such a the campaign for nuclear disarmament, climate change, and civil rights groups.
Terry Jones ( B. 1945 ) is a British graphic designer, art director, photographer, book and magazine editor. He is best known as the co-founder of the British Street-Style magazine I-D in 1980. In the 1970's Terry was the art director for British Vogue, as well as the creative director for the Italian New Wave fashion brand Fiorucci. Jones's work has had a global impact with it's cutting-edge view on fashion and youth culture.

The rare out of print 1st edition extra large format hardcover fashion photography book measures 11 7/8" W X 16 3/4" H X 7/8" D, with 124 pages. It features images from photographers including Juergen Teller, Nick Knight, and Chen Man, plus interviews with Caroline Baker, Caryn Franklin, Ben Reardon, and Terry Jones, with an illustrated glossary and designer biography.
