A large polychrome transfer ware serving platter from Copeland in 1877. This piece is decorated with colorful palms and reeds, dynamic birds and a butterfly. The colors include blue, green, pink, yellow, orange and brown. pattern called 'palm and heron,' 'palm and egrets,' 'storks,' 'cranes,' etc.
This is a larger size and quite rare
The date code of T 77 indicates it was made in August of 1877.
A truly rarely seen item, particularly in this condition. A perfect centerpiece for a transferware collection in the aesthetic movement style.
Very good vintage condition. The condition is fabulous for its age. The colors are bright and bold. There small amount of edge wear, in very small spots around the rim and minimal finish wear. Please examine all photos for complete condition.
