Discovered at an antique market in Provence, this trio of traditional vintage French linen tea towels are made of taupe … more Discovered at an antique market in Provence, this trio of traditional vintage French linen tea towels are made of taupe linen; one in a cheerful plaid bearing a red "C M" monogram, the other two in a complementary solid taupe with red accent stripes. They appear to be unused pieces from a early 20th century trousseau, perhaps lovingly hand-embroidered by the bride-to-be as was the custom in those days. Shown folded, they open up to a very generously proportion -- 26"W x 20"H for the plaid towel, 18.5"W x 26"H for the solid pieces. No maker's marks.
