This Jackson Pollock Foundation Abstract Expressionist offset lithograph collector's print " The Moon - Woman " 1942, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection. The offset lithograph print is published in 2006 by Taschen GMBH, with the authorized licensed rights of The Pollock - Krasner Foundation and VG Bild - Kunst, Bonn Germany. The print features an original artwork created by Pollock in 1942 titled " The Moon - Woman ".
Jackson Pollock ( 1912 - 1956 0 was an American painter and major figure in the Abstract Expressionist movement. He was well known for his unique style of " Drip Painting ". The groundbreaking images he created, and the materials he worked with were both experimental, innovative 7 non traditional. During his life time, Pollock enjoyed considerable frame and notoriety, he was a major artist of his generation. he had a volatile personality and struggled for most of his life. His marriage to artist Lee Krasner had an important influence on his career and legacy. The Museum of Modern Art New York has held 4 retrospective exhibitions of his artworks. Pollock is considered to be one of the most important Modern artists of The 20th Century.
The out of print collector's lithograph print measures 11" W X 14 1/4" H. It is printed on heavyweight smooth finish paper stock with a satin finish. On the reverse back side are details about the artist and the artwork. It is in excellent " like new " vintage condition with light signs of handling. It has never been framed.
