The reeded edge … Read more Pair of Italian neo-classic walnut oval side chairs with carved crests. Late 18th or early 19th century. The reeded edge backs are highlighted with ribbon carving. Velvet on board replaces the caning on the seats. The serpentine front rails are ribbon carved above rosette topped fluted legs. All is in old finish, showing typical wear. Recently polished and with new velvet slip seats. These copy the French taste of the Louis XVI period. See less
