- These chairs have some dings and chips, light wear. One chair is slightly lighter than the other. the chairs appear … moreThese chairs have some dings and chips, light wear. One chair is slightly lighter than the other. the chairs appear to have been refinished at sometime. Although the chairs were made to fold I have never tried to fold them, the pins used to unhinge the legs appears to be made of PVC tube and had leather laces through them to help pull the pins, the leather laces are dried and missing on most of the pins. less

The … more Listed here is a pair of very French Moderne Inspired slipper chairs made to fold employing hidden wood hinges. The chairs appear to be made of a long grain pine. The contoured backs pivot on a single point secured at the rear leg. The contoured seats feature a slat design that is carried to the backrest as well. The chairs have a strap from the front leg stretcher to the back leg stretcher used to restrict excessive movement outward as well as allow for folding. The design was quite clever and highly stylish. less
