The Modernist art book is published by Piper-Bucherei, printed in Germany in 1960 in an unnumbered limited edition, copyright R. Piper & Co. Verlag Munchen. It features a monograph survey collection of the fine art aquarelle artworks by Emil Nolde, with accompanied German language text authored by Gunter Busch.

Emil Nolde ( 1867 - 1956 ) was a German- Danish painter and printmaker. He is one of the first Expressionists, a member of Die Brucke, and was one of the first oil and watercolor painters of The Early Twentieth Century to explore the language of color. He is known for his brushwork and expressive choice of color palette, giving a luminous quality. His aquarelle ( watercolors ) include vivid brooding storm-scapes, brilliant florals, and Berlin nightlife scenes. Artworks by Nolde are included in the collections of many of the most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print Mid Century Modernist art book measures 4 7/8" W X 7 1/2" H X 1/4" D, with 52 pages. It features 16 full page color fine art lithograph print illustrations.
