This Really Is a Great Looking and Quite Rare Vintage 1936 Sterling Silver Mint Julep Cup Trophy. The Front is Engraved - Reads as Follows - "ROCK CREEK RIDING CLUB - 1936 - SUCKLING COLT CLASS - GIVEN BY MR. & MRS. JAMES F. BROWNLEE". The Rock Creek Horse Riding Club Still Exist Today. It is Well Documented and Has Achieved Historical Significance Over the Years Since its Beginning in the Early 20th Century. The Bottom of the Cup is Signed - has the Documented Mark of The Manchester Silver Company in Providence Rhode Island - In Business From 1914 to 1985. It is Also Marked STERLING. It is in Very Good Overall Original Condition and Displays Nicely. It has Some Light Age and Use Related Wear ( Loved and Used ). It is Lightly Tarnished - Could Use a Good Polishing. It has a Substantial Solid Sterling Silver Weight of Approx. 151.70 Grams / 4.877 Troy Ounces.
It Measures Overall 3 5/8 inches Tall x 3 1/8 inches Wide at Top Rim.
