Presenting a pair of antique KBW (Kathodian Bronze Works) Artbronz bronze-clad bookends titled "Admiration". In the company's 1914 advertisement, this Art Nouveau piece was described as "a nude of exquisite beauty and grace. The maiden, refreshing herself at the clear cold pool, has found her reflection one that is pleasing, and the frog, in its admiration, questions not the trespasser."
These sculptural book rocks show visible signs of wear from age. Several areas exhibit bronze plating cracks, especially at the back of the lady's neck. Repairs and restoration might be needed. Some patina stains and surface wear. The linings on the bottom are also slightly detached. Please review all photos carefully before making your purchase.
