Handmade metal trinket box featuring a bronze-color finish. Wonderful dimensional, oriental-style engravings on the top surface featuring two birds, florals and greenery with a mountain scene in the background. Detailed oriental motif really makes this a stand out item. Stylized birds on the sides are on the surface and engraved. The box has a lift off lid, it is not hinged. There is no marking or stamps. We believe this is from the Meiji Era (early 1900s). Materials are mixed metal with bronzed outside.
Measures 1.75" long, 1.25" wide, 1.25" tall.
