Piece was purchased from the Kauffman … Read more Fine Haku Maki embossed woodblock from a finely curated print collection in West Texas. Piece was purchased from the Kauffman Galleries in Houston. The Maki collection began in 1977 of only ceramics. The image is 6.25 inches by 9.5 inches. Outside dimension of the framed piece is 12.5 inches by 16.25 inches. It is in a custom gold frame with textured gold matt inside a black matt. The image is of a embossed black bowl with gold leaf adornment. There is a signature mark in the image. Complete information is in pencil along the bottom of the print. It is signed Haku Maki Collection 866 28/100. The piece is in excellent condition. The pieces were never under harsh light or sunlight. Maki was a prolific woodblock artist of his time. He lived from 1924 to 2000. See less
