"Satsuma Japan" marked teapot and cup set in good Condition. A pair of peacocks adorn each cup and the teapot. In Japan the peacock is a symbol of compassion and kind heartedness. This pretty set includes the teapot with lid and four cups (6 pieces including the lid). Each cup measures 3.5" tall x 2.5" diameter and the teapot without the handle is 5.25" tall (with handle included 8.25" tall) x 6.5" wide x 5" deep. There is minor glaze crazing on the cups and teapot. On the cups it is primarily around the opening/rim. We did not find any chips, cracks or breaks. The teapot shows minor glaze crazing and some wear to the rubber that covers the thick gauge wire that holds the handle to the teapot. We did not find any chips, cracks or breaks on the teapot. Pretty set and displays nicely. Please review the photographs to see the Condition Details up close.
