Line VAUTRIN (1913-1977), a creative genius was interested in metals and materials from a very young age. The year 1937 was her year. Thanks to the Universal Exhibition, she presented her jewelry creations and various bronze accessories to the public and finally met with the success she had hoped for.
The years went by and Line Vautrin continued to expand her range of bronze creations with small objects and everyday shapes, while keeping her artistic touch by adding feathers, enamel and fur. The 1940s were rich in the production of whimsical jewelry to enrich her shop on the Champs-Elysees. This Line Vautrin brooch "Sainte Foi" is done in gilt bronze representing the patron saint of prisoners surrounded by polychrome enamel. less
