Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso Vaseline yellow with orange core and gold flecks Italian art glass bird sculpture. Attributed to the Cenedese company, and to designer Antonio Da Ros. The beak has gold leaf on it. Has 2 little applied eyes on the face. The piece glows bright neon green under a black light from the high amount of Uranium / UV reactive glass (see photo). It is made with thick glass, and it is heavy for its size. Would make a great display piece for any dresser, coffee table or credenza. The bird measures 10" tall x 7" long x 2 3/4" wide.
