Influenced by surrealist artists like Dali and Braque, Bezombes used symbols and motifs of destination countries in his posters. A multifaceted sculptor, painter and graphic designer, Bezombes, who died in 1994, was a bold choice for Air France: the posters he created caused as much controversy as they did conversation.
