The lamp is in overall good condition. There is 3 single line cracks to the shade, a dent to the interior bronze space (does not effect shade resting) and several areas of verdigris to the lamp base. Original cord has been replaced for safety.

This truly magnificent leaded glass table lamp which was produced during the time period after Louis Comfort Tiffany's patent on the famous copper foil & leaded glass technique expired in 1903. The expiration of his patent created an immense competition for Tiffany Studios by companies including Unique Art Glass & Metal Company who produced this work of art.
Taking from the Tiffany Studios "Peony" lamp.
A massive 24" Peony shade rests on a traditional bronze spacer (detaches from base for transportation and has a replaced modern threader for stability).
A superb and rare bronze tree trunk base with exposed and open roots supports the weight of this large shade and adds to the truly breathtaking display. The base is completed with a three socket cluster.
As with all lamps by this company, they are unsigned.
Several other companies from this era made shades similar including Wilkinson and Duffner & Kimberly. This is truly as close to the original Tiffany Studios design as one will find on the market today. Produced with the same method and craftsmanship that Louis Comfort Tiffany put into his craft. less
