The colors are just beautiful and seem inspired by spring irises. The artists, Philip Baldwin and Monica Guggesberg, have collaborated for over 40 years. I love both the simplicity and colors of their art glass. The base is an amethyst color, but shows as more maroon in the photos. As similar bowl is seen in a set of three of the artists website.
