Offering a RARE vintage Murano glass vanity table mirror made by Barovier & Toso, circa 1950s. This remarkable mirror is made with clear ribbed Murano glass with loads of 24K gold flecks throughout the glass.....the glass appears light yellow but it is CLEAR and the gold dust makes it glisten with pure elegance. This mirror is unmarked but guaranteed to be authentic vintage Murano glass of the period.
The structure is made of antique bronze. The center mirror portion is surrounded by thick ribbed Murano glass and is attached to the bronze structure. The mirror moves easily but please keep in mind this mirror was designed to only move in a limited direction and was NOT designed to move in a complete 360 degree spin. Aged original wood backing on verso.
The decorative Murano glass scrolls on both sides also have gold dust and the intricate design motif gives this mirror a stunning Hollywood Regency or Art Deco appearance. This luxury vanity mirror is an excellent example of Mid 20th Century Italian glass blowing at its best!
EXCELLENT CONDITION. No flaws whatsoever....just perfect! (hard to find a large and beautiful piece of vintage Murano glass in this immaculate condition) The new owner will be very happy about the condition of this mirror. New Felt pads added to the bottom to protect your surfaces. Designer/Decorator ready.
