This David Hockney very rare vintage 1973 lithograph print " Still Life with Book " custom framed iconic exhibition poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The offset lithograph print poster is published by the famous Andre Emmerich Gallery in New York. Printed in an unnumbered limited edition in 1973 on the occasion of the exhibition. It features an artwork image by Hockney titled " Still Life with Book ", photo offset reproduction from an original lithograph produced at Gemini G.E.L. by David Hockney, copyright 1973 Poster Originals LTD #143.

David Hockney ( B. 1937 ) is an English painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer. He is an important contributor to The Pop Art Movement of the 1960's. he is considered one of the most influential British artists of The Twentieth Century. His artworks have commanded greater popular acclaim than any other Contemporary British artist. The Pop Art Expressionist style artworks have been the subject of more than 400 solo exhibitions. Art works by Hockney are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
In 1962 Evelyn and Leo Farland founded their infamous New York poster gallery and publishing business " Poster Originals LTD ". They created groundbreaking innovation and lasting effects with their pioneering approach to the poster industry from the early 1960's through the late 1980's. They worked with the leading American and European artists, international museums and top galleries collaborating to create some of the most iconic and important art posters of the Mid Century Modern, Pop Art, Abstract Expressionist and Contemporary Art movements. This Hockney exhibition poster print is a beautiful example of Poster Originals finest work.
The rare out of print framed exhibition poster print measures 25 1/4" W X 32 7/8" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern purple-blue satin finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
