This lovely painting features an idyllic Dutch village along a canal. Note the A-frame architecture of the houses, stone arch bridge and flock of chickens, rendered in vivid greens, grays, reds and whites. The painting is mounted on an ornate wood and plaster frame and was aquired by the previous owner in 1983 from Marble Arch Gallery in London, England. The gallery label is on the back. Canvas measures 36” wide by 24” tall. Wood and plaster frame measures 42” wide, 2” deep and 30” tall. Excellent condition. Frame has a few touched up chips. See less
