One large Fu (happiness) character is finely carved in caoshu script at the back of the brushpot. The base is deeply inset. Han Xiangzi is portrayed riding a flying crane, the roly-poly Han Zongli with his fan, He Xiangu holding a lotus flower, Li Tieguai with an iron crutch and calabash bottle, and four others.
