Exquisite carving all around, … more Incredible set of four early 19th century museum worthy French Louis XVI walnut fauteuils or armchairs. Exquisite carving all around, with florets at the top of each beautiful spiral turned tapered leg. Acanthus leaves are carved into the base of each arm, with carved ribbon scrolling across each apron. The carved detail in each chair is only complemented by the beautiful original fabric, appropriately faded to a lovely neutral background, with centered floral and cornucopia themes on the backs and seats. The original hand stitched fabric has one small repairable tear (see photos). arm height 26.75
