Frame marked N. B. & I. W. for National Brass and Iron Works of Reading, Pennsylvania, which was in operation from 1891-1911 and specialized in manufacturing fine brass and iron decorative objects. Since this company was only in business for 20 years, this piece could be considered quite rare. less
