It would like absolutely wonderful right by your fireplace. The scuttle has a metal lined ash area that is removable. On the back is a slot for your shovel scoop. The handle on top makes it easy to move around. This piece has age appropriate finish loss and some wood separation on the top and side. Please see all the photos for details. It measures 12.75 inches wide, 16.5" deep not including the bracket and it about 13" tall to the top of the handle. less
