This is a porcelain jar painted with a soft butter yellow field and and blue bird against a trellis of pink roses. The metal handle and jar opening trim is marked "EPNS" and has a bee stamp (Electro Plated Nickel Silver). Biscuit jars are highly collectible and this one is a beauty. There is some glaze crazing, consistent with its age and what appears to be a crack but it does not go through the jar; it's a glaze crack. There is a chip off the inside of the foot that cannot be seen unless you turn the piece upside down. Pretty collectible that would look lovely on a side table, bookshelf, farmhouse kitchen or to add to your collection.Please see the photographs to see the condition details up close.
