This 9" x 12" original still life oil painting is a beautiful interpretation of romantic pink tulips in a glass bowl of water. A bright orange and lemon nearby add to the feeling of delight and joy within the painting. In the background, window-like panes of color, reminiscent of stained glass bring a lovely sense of space. Touches of floral patterning on the table meet with the bold violet and blue shadows creating a feeling of enchantment and femininity.
Inspiration for this painting was my love for flowers and the spring tulips in my garden. Tulips have a wonderful simplicity not unlike fruit and I like to engage with that feeling of lightness through my artwork.
I painted this on a masonite panel in oils. This is a signed original that is ready for framing. less
