After an apprenticeship as a silver at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich, Carl Jakob Jucker completed the preliminary course at the Staatliches Bauhaus in Weimar under Georg Muche in 1922/23, before moving to the metal workshop of Christian Dell and László Moholy-Nagy. The lessons there gave him decisive impulses for his lighting projects. He developed lighting fixtures for Weimar's Haus Am Horn, a model house that in 1923 had to bring together modern life and modern architecture. This piece has an attribution mark,
