I painted this larger canvas on location with my painting buddies at 1000' on Mt. Diablo in the Bay Area. This location was a favorite spot of the Society of Six painters. The last surviving member shared these prime spots with Terry St. John, my regular painting buddy for over ten years. We painted at these spots twice a week. Our small group also met to draw from the model once a week.
This was painted in 2005. It is 49.5" x 54". This is the largest canvas I could stretch to fit in the back of my truck, along with my easel, card table and supplies.i like the fact that a painting like this not only tries to capture the moment in time but also is evidence of the experience.
I will ship Free, safely rolled. Local pick up can have it on the stretcher at no extra cost. less
