A 1980's postmodern clear lucite torchiere style floor lamp likely inspired by the amazing work of the lucite furniture master Karl Springer. The lamp has a round brass base from which stems a clear lucite pole which has a tube that is embedded in the center of the pole and remains uninterrupted until it reaches the collar plate which is a pale brass and is the location of the turn knob on/off swiitch and houses the lighting fixture which is a bulb socket fixture. The wide brimmed acrylic funnel shaped shade is opaque white and the small end of the cone fits into the top of the socket collar plate. The rim of the icone shaped shade is trimmed in a gold toned rim cap that is removeable. There is no makers mark, however we would take a professional guestimate that the similar models that became the height of lucite luxury made by Karl Springer or perhaps by Charles Hollis Jones (the man known as the godfather of Lucite) or perhaps by the Italian House Bauerlite.
