Description: An intricately decorated 13 piece Japanese Dragon ware Moriage Tea Service comprised of a teapot, covered creamer, double-handled covered sugar, … more An intricately decorated 13 piece Japanese Dragon ware Moriage Tea Service comprised of a teapot, covered creamer, double-handled covered sugar, four plates, two cups and four saucers. All are hand painted and profusely decorated with bold colors, gold and raised accents amidst portraits of geishas flanked by rulers. The dragon’s head spout and finials with open mouths are striking. This set probably dates from the 40’s or 50’s and is in a remarkable state of preservation, with only a minor chip to one plate as pictured and a flea bite to one cup. A beautiful survivor.
