The bench itself is wood and I would say circa 1960s. The bench has been newly upholstered in a Greek Key fabric. The colors I would say is a pale gold and burgundy. There is one scratch on the leg and some light wear to the upper wood. If you can use the fabric that is a plus. It is sturdy and can go in an entry, living room or end of a bed. Lovely. Tall 31 1/2
