This Poul Gernes offset lithograph print Danish Modernist Pop Art exhibition poster " Uden Titel " 1966-68, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Modernist Pop Art exhibition poster is published by The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, printed in Denmark in 2016 on the occasion of the exhibition. It features an artwork image originally created by Gernes in 1966-68 titled " Uden Titel ", Klara Karolines Fondation, courtesy Galleri Bo Bjeggaard, copyright Gernes Estate.
Poul Gernes ( 1925 - 1996 ) was a Danish born painter, sculptor and performer. His artworks known for their bold use of color and geometric forms have had a great impact on the culture of Denmark. He sought to redefine ideas regarding arts and public space, celebrating a return to decorative arts. His works communicated a strong belief that art is intended for everyone. His influences can be seen throughout a generation of artists in Scandinavia and around the world. Art works by Gernes have received international acclaim, and can be found in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The Modernist exhibition poster print measures 23 5/8" W X 26 1.8" H. It is printed on smooth finish premium paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a satin eggshell finish.
