The perfect accent to any cocktail or party table. Use for hors d'oeuvres, fruits, cheese, olives or small confections. The set includes six cocktail forks, each with two sharp narrow tines. The other half of the set consists of six sauce spoons which have round shallow bowls for use as dipping spoons for sauces typically served with appetizer or confectionery trays. Handcrafted from brass with a lacquer finish and porcelain handles. The chinoiserie-inspired design of the porcelain handles is made up of butterflies and flowers done in royal blue, carnation pink and leaf green on a white background. To keep it looking as fabulous as it does in the photos, always handwash and dry. To do otherwise will remove the protective lacquer finish and result in a loss to the lustrous finish resulting in oxidation. Each piece measures 5” long; upper portion of each fork is ¼” wide; each spoon’s bowl is 1” wide. Together the set weighs 5 oz. I found this set in a vintage store in Kansas City with no makers name or label. But the set is similar to other brass pieces I have that were made in the late 20th-century and imported from Hong Kong. The set is in excellent condition with minimal, if any, apparent wear.
