With the arms it ends out to be 38 inches wide, so yes this is a large chandelier. The interior is a Chinese antiqued red, and the outside is gold leaved. This is one of those cool chandeliers that is going to be a show stopper were ever it is hung. The 8 lights that surround the body give off great light. This chandelier is by Niermann Weeks. It came to us and we wanted to add a little drama to the piece and gold leaved the outside and painted the inside before we re wired the fixture. All the hardware is new. less
