The cornice consists of a base which is connected to a large mirror. The base was designed to rest on a flat surface and the mirror back should rest against a wall. There is detailed scroll work along the bottom rim of the base, and it is repeated on the edge of the mirror.

The cornice could be placed on a dresser, or placed on a low dressing table to create a vanity. It could even be completely re-imagined and used over the right fireplace with the proper restoration to create a one-of-a kind piece. less
