The only added piece … more The Charles Hollis Jones base is made of a sturdy " one piece of fashioned plexiglass. The only added piece is the circular bar that stabilizes each corner of the base. There are fewer and fewer of this revolutionary American designers pieces available. He was the first one to use Plexiglass to carve and cut into all forms of furniture and decorative pieces of art. The table is toped off by a piece of rectangular glass. I found it in an antique store that he personally supplied his own collection with call Little Paris, on La Brea Ave. in West Hollywood California. less
