Top is made of solid wood covered with goatskin and a thick clear resin coat finish. Base is in solid wood covered with heavy metal sheets in polished chrome. Metal trim on top too. At the top center there is a glass hiding 4 interior standard bulbs. Cord and plug come out under the table. No switch is present. Wiring is original and in working condition. You could easily access to bulbs by an hidden door of the chrome base. Top is thick 2.5". Table is incredibly beautiful, heavy and high quality. Probably custom made. less
